Well here is a quick recap of this season so far. Floydada will host the Childress Bobcats here on Tuesday at 8:00pm. Floydada now with a 11-10 record and 2-1 in district play sits in second place in district play. Last Friday Floydada played host to a very tall and talented Shallowater Mustangs team who with a 43-41 win over Floydada moved to first place in district 2-3A play. Floydada is not having the season they did last year when they went 30-2 before a loss to Tahoka in the play-offs. This district packed full of talent with teams such as Shallowater(#4 in the state) , Childress, and Abernathy. However Floydada doing a good job so far. The wirlwinds had a tough pre-season play facing teams like Lubbock Trinity (#10), Lorenzo(#1), Lubbock Estacado(#16) and Nazareth(#6). Floydada yet to get the one-two-three puch down with Williams, Beedy and Miller a Senior, Junior, Sophomore trio that could that could rival most teams of five. I look forward to the game tomorrow and will be broadcasting starting at 8 on KFLP radio. Hopefully we will be streaming on the net before football season this year.
